BEDFORD RUGBY FOLLOWERS ASSOCIATION

AWAY TRIP INFORMATION TERMS & CONDITIONS

OUTWARD DEPARTURE TIME/LOCATION:    Will be advised by Margaret at the time of booking.  Please ensure you arrive in plenty of time so that departure is not delayed.  Departure time for the return journey will be advised on the day but is usually 30 – 60 minutes after the end of the game.

PAYMENT:    Must be made in full in advance of the trip.   To enable us to keep prices down, we will not be able to offer refunds for cancellations or “no shows” on the day.  Payment can be made by cash, cheque or card in the Followers Office on home match days.   Provisional bookings can be made by telephone to Margaret on 01234 354708 but this must be followed up by payment to confirm your place.

PARKING:    Free parking is available the hospital car park at the back of the rugby club overlooking the training pitch.  Please park and wait there until Geoff arrives – he will give you a parking permit for the day to display in the front windscreen of your car.  Then make your way to Gilbert Hitchcock House to pick up the coach (unless advised otherwise – occasionally we have to pick up on Goldington Road).

CASH:    On the coach we run a raffle and a final score sweepstake.  On the return journey, we also have a collection for our driver.  We are only able to take cash on the coaches so remember to bring some with you.

RAFFLE:    If you would like to donate a raffle prize, these are always very welcome – please bring to the coach with you.  Prizes are typically: chocolates, sweets, biscuits, beer, wine.  If you are lucky enough to win a bottle of wine, we will keep it on the coach and you take it with you on our return to Goldington Road.

COACH FACILITIES:    The coaches we use, all have toilet facilities.  Depending on the length of the journey, we may stop en route at a service station.

GLASS BOTTLES/GLASSES:    For safety reasons, glass bottles/glasses are not allowed on the coach (hence us keeping any wine that is won until our return).

MAN OF MATCH PRESENTATION:    At away games, we present a bottle of champagne to the Bedford player voted “Man of the Match”.  Votes are taken approx. 10 minutes before the end of the game by Lesley and Solveig from the Committee – look out for them walking round and let them have your vote.  The presentation is made immediately following the end of the game.
